Overview

Camp Claire offers overnight sessions throughout the summer starting in early July for campers as young as 8 and as old as 14. While staying over, campers will be able to partake in several different classes of their own choosing along with all camp activities during the afternoon, and evening. During these programs, campers are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to the fullest. Examples of afternoon and evening programs are Capture The Flag, Spooknight; activities include campfires, songs, and of course, s’mores! From time to time, the whole camp goes on a day picnic by canoes to a sandbar on the Connecticut River where they swim in the river, build sandcastles, have lunch on the sand, and play in the mud.

At the end of every day, before the campers go to bed, the whole camp gathers to talk about how much fun they had that day. They listen to stories, hear poems, learn songs, and (in short) bond in a way that connects them to what they have learned during their stay.
