Overview
The Ocean & Climate Institute empowers learners of all ages to explore the intersection of marine science and climate change through immersive, field-based programs that inspire curiosity, build scientific literacy, and drive environmental action.
Explorer Track: Explore. Learn. Act. Open to half day, full day, or residential campers who are interested in Marine Biology but who also want to participate in the athletic and art activities offered by Tabor Summer Camp. Students will spend the morning session in the Marine & Nautical Science Center, on Tabor's research vessel, or conducting field research in the local estuary. In the afternoon creating art, playing sports, or enjoying the Tabor's waterfront! Best for Campers Ages: 7 – 15
Researcher Track: Discover. Research. Lead. Open to full day or residential campers who are passionate about Marine Biology and Climate Science. The researcher track is dynamic STEM experience designed for curious students ready to explore marine science, climate systems, and real-world environmental challenges through labs, fieldwork, and peer collaboration. The Researcher Track challenges students to think like scientists, lead like innovators, and act like stewards of the sea. Students will spend both the morning and afternoon sessions in the Marine & Nautical Science Center, on the water conducting research, or in the wet lab doing real, hands-on, science. Best for Campers Ages: 11-18
