SummerTech

SummerTech offers computer science courses in day and overnight camps for students in grades 4th through 12th. You can sign your kids up for classes on coding with Python and Java. They also have a computer animation course where participants create interactive movies and a separate 3D modeling course where they create artwork for video games.

No experience is required for any of their classes, as students receive all the instruction they need to start from scratch. With a camper-to-teacher ratio of 2:1, no children will ever be short of help and can always get questions answered. Leadership principles are a big part of the program, so kids leave the camp having learned more than just tech knowledge but also life skills.

Sign up for weekly sessions starting in June and ending in August. The curriculum is customized to your children's needs, where they can focus on learning coding for multiple weeks or perhaps mix animation and modeling on different weeks. Camps are hosted at Purchase College in Purchase, NY, and overnight campers get to stay in the campus dorm rooms.
