Overview
For over a century, Indian and Forest Acres have been a summer home for generations of campers. With a foundation rooted in timeless tradition, we offer a setting that replaces screen time with sunshine and shared experiences, where children build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and have the time of their lives. Our legacy is strong, and our commitment to each camper’s growth is at the heart of everything we do.
Each summer, campers and staff from across the U.S. and around the world join us, creating a truly global community. At Indian and Forest Acres, diversity is celebrated — and so are the connections that transcend borders. Campers learn from one another, gain new perspectives, and leave with friendships that span continents.
Indian Acres for boys and Forest Acres for girls are located just two miles apart in beautiful Fryeburg, Maine. While each camp has its own identity and traditions, they come together to form one vibrant, interconnected community. Coed events, sibling visits, and shared values foster a sense of unity that makes our camps feel like one big family.
At Indian Acres, boys are encouraged to be bold, curious, and confident. Through structured activity, adventure, and tradition, they build resilience, independence, and lifelong friendships. It's a place where boys can unplug, be themselves, and grow into their best selves — all in a supportive, spirited environment.
Forest Acres is a place where girls are empowered to explore, express, and connect. In a nurturing and fun environment, they take on new challenges, build strong friendships, and gain confidence through every campfire, game, and song. It’s more than just a summer away — it’s a place where girls truly thrive.
