Overview

Chess Max Academy is one of the leading Chess class schools in NYC, led by World Chess Champion Grandmaster Maxim Dlugy. The Academy’s Main location is on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, across the street from the Museum of Natural History, has over 20 National and one World Chess champion students in the last 6 years. It enables students to access a unique program, created by the Grandmaster himself to help improve their chess skills quickly and effectively.

The recently launched Chess classes for Tots allows kids aged 3.5 to 5 years to learn the basics of playing chess. Apart from the high-quality after school and weekend chess programs, one of the major plus points of Chess Max Academy is that it is the only independent chess school in NYC situated at a highly accessible location. The academy offers its Group Classes in the ONLINE and in-person formats. The Academy also offers personalized private chess lessons for kids and adults.

Chess Max Academy is a specialized Chess School that offers chess classes online. Our chess school was developed to teach chess to those who want to learn quickly and correctly.

Our goal is to teach chess online and in-person to both kids and adults the most effective way possible. To this end, the Academy’s founder, Grandmaster Max Dlugy has created the curriculum of the Academy, all presentation tools, and the software that is actively used in the chess lessons.

The Chess Class Academy offer chess classes online for kids and adults and in-person in the New York and Greenwich, CT areas, along with online group classes via Zoom. Additionally, we have individual private chess tutors as well as online chess coaches for both kids and adults. Chess Lessons for kids are both group chess classes and individual private classes. The group chess classes begin with the Tots classes which are generally for 4.5 year olds – 5 years old kids, although many Tots start as young as 3.5 years old and quickly make progress in learning all the rules.
