Camp Wicosuta

Overview

Our program is designed to enable each girl to feel successful and is based on her developmental needs. We emphasize instruction and participation in each activity area, regardless of ability level. Regular program days are designated as A, B or C days and are complemented by special event days and out-of-camp trips.

Campers who have completed Grades 1-3 have a set program that exposes them to all our activities. Campers finishing Grade 4 have a mixture of pre-scheduled and elective activities. Their required activities include instruction swim, tennis and waterfront. The rest of their activities are based on their preferences. Girls finishing Grades 5 and older have individual, choice-based schedules. Campers participate in choice-based activities with other campers of similar ages and are able to change their individual schedules if they like. The last period of the day, called “Selective,” allows ALL campers a chance to choose their last activity of the day.
