Camp Carolina

Overview

Camp Carolina is an overnight, all boys, high adventure summer camp in North Carolina. Serving boys from K-11th grade. Boys can attend camp for 1, 2, 3 or 4 week sessions or combine sessions to spend 7 or 10 weeks at the Best Place on Planet Earth!

Camp Carolina was established in 1924 and has been owned or operated by the Thompson Family since the 50’s! We have current campers whose fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and great grandfathers have attended camp. It's a special privilege to be a part of these family traditions and welcome new generations into the Camp Carolina Family. Camp Carolina has been making a lasting impression on boys' lives for over 100 years.

We are located in stunning Western North Carolina, more specifically, tucked away in a picturesque valley in the town of Brevard. Our area is known as The Land of The Waterfalls. Camp Carolina's 220 acres of beautiful mountain land, trails, lake, and streams allow us to have an amazing in-camp program.

The boys can also experience trips out of camp to the 2 million acres of public land bordering our property that include Pisgah, Nantahala and Cherokee National Forests; Dupont and Gorges State Parks; and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Amazing rivers, waterfalls, swimming holes, and mountains with rock faces and trails of all levels are all there ready to for us to explore!
