Overview
Camp Carl offers faith-based instruction for children and helps build their faith through group discussions and interactive lessons. The summer camp has half-day, full-day, and overnight camps for different age grades.
Our goal with elementary campers is to engage with their interests, questions, and abilities! We understand how critical it is for us to give our full attention to an elementary camper in order to love them well. During the week, campers will also be encouraged to build friendships, learn teamwork, and establish good sportsmanship through a variety of games, competitions, and activities they will partake in. And most importantly, we aim to demonstrate and instill in each camper God’s love for them.
Our goal with high school campers is to give them a place to find rest from the pressures of the world. The schedule is a bit more relaxed with more freedoms built in to allow time for deeper community and connection. All the classic activities of camp are still a part of the plan, with some additional high school age appropriate activities added to the fun! We want our high school campers to walk away with a deeper understanding of who they are in Christ and how to live out their faith.
Equine campers get the unique experience of learning about and working with horses during their week at camp. Each camper works to develop the skills to safely tie, groom, saddle, bridle, mount, and ride a horse both in the arena and out on the trail. Campers will also practice controlling their horse at a walk and trot, as well as learn the different trot positions. Every camper and their horse will develop a unique partnership, as they further understand his/her nature and develop better balance throughout the week.
