Overview
Space Trek is an educational company located at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex where students from all around the world can come to experience hands on STEM programs and learn about space exploration. We are dedicated to keeping ahead of the curve in STEM educational experiences. The most important element to our success has been our staff. Between our highly industrially experienced board of directors and our dedicated instructors, we are able to stay flexible and produce experiences students educators and hobbyists will never forget.
Your cosmic adventure awaits you! Participate in a three-day robotic mission to Mars and help NASA scientists unravel the mysteries of the red planet and prepare it for habitation.
Prepare for an extraordinary voyage that will ignite your curiosity and propel you into the captivating world of robotics and programming.
* Work with custom-designed 3D-printed robots equipped with an array of sensors
* Learn to program an Exonaut rover
* Learn to analyze and present data
* Operate a rover on a simulated Martian surface
* Participate in challenges
Curriculum and Information: All students, along with the experience of a lifetime, will receive certificates of excellence upon program completion. The winning team will receive medals commemorating their success.
Programming Logic: Students will learn the importance and basics of programming robots.
Basic and Advanced Programming Concepts: Learn coding, from if/then statements to experimenting with various robotic sensors to win engaging challenges.
Scratch or C++ Coding: Depending on participant preference, students may learn coding through a Scratch or C++ environment.
Knowledge Reinforcement Through Challenges: Students will work as a team to complete coding challenges, with extra points for creativity.
Significant Teamwork: In groups of four, students will work together to win a coding competition on the simulated surface of Mars.
Innovative and Critical Thinking: Students are challenged to solve tasks in unconventional ways, promoting creativity in problem-solving.
