Overview

At YMCA Camp Kern, everything we do is driven by purpose. As a proud part of the YMCA of Greater Dayton and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our foundation is built on Christian principles and a passion for strengthening community. We believe that life-changing growth happens when people disconnect from the noise of daily life and connect with nature, each other, and themselves. Our camp is a space where kids, families, and groups come to challenge themselves, build confidence, and create lasting bonds.

At the heart of YMCA Camp Kern, our Traditional Camp program offers more than just summer fun—it’s where kids unplug from technology and reconnect with nature, friendships, and themselves.

Our Day and Semi-Residential Camps are designed for younger campers—usually ages 5 to 10—who are ready to explore the outdoors, build friendships, and develop confidence, all while staying close to home.

We’ve captured the best moments: big smiles, new friendships, and exciting adventures in the great outdoors. Whether it’s their first canoe ride or the final campfire of the week, every picture tells a story.
