Overview
Global Routes is growing and we’re proud we get to work with the best camps, like Ebner, to offer a shorter 3-week Leadership in Action program to Costa Rica.
Begin by hiking to the Rainforest Adventure Center where you’ll experience challenge courses and basic living, all through one of the richest ecosystems in the Americas.
Then, moving to live with families in a new host community, LIA Participants will gain a new appreciation for rural life, cold showers, and the critical links between community empowerment and leadership. With over 20 years of experience working in Costa Rica, we’ve established deep relationships with many communities throughout the nation. This Costa Rica program is a special version of the Costa Rica program specifically designed for Leaders in Action (LIA) and Leaders in Training (LIT).
Days will be spent either contributing to a community service work project, or facilitating Friendship Camp. This means working with kids, guiding and mentoring them daily, and practicing Spanish.
This is not regular camp, however, so while there will be time to connect and chill out with other participants, we are there primarily to learn and contribute to local education and quality of life.
