Looking for a camp that offers something a little different? We’re that camp.

Unirondack is a radically inclusive summer camp community in the Western Adirondacks offering camp sessions and wilderness trips for youth ages 8-18, and a variety of programs for adults and families. We celebrate silliness, encourage authentic self-expression, and empower youth to create their own camp experience.

Our campers enjoy access to all the camp classics in a beautiful old-growth Adirondack waterfront setting with swimming, boating, arts & crafts, ceramics, performing arts centre, athletic field, library, board game room, great food, and skilled staff mentors. But we offer so much more than that.

Inventiveness runs rampant. We are a community of creative risk takers. We offer about 65 totally original programs every week, born out of the wild imaginations of our talented staff and brought to life with the help of our curious and enthusiastic campers. While other camps usher campers through a structured set of scheduled activities, Unirondack campers choose their own programs from a wide range of active, silly, artsy, theatrical, nerdy, outdoorsy, sciencey, musical, messy, and discussion-based options every day. That’s what makes every week at Unirondack a totally unique, one-of-a-kind experience.

Though we take pride in the creativity and abundance of our activities, Unirondack is more than its activities. It’s a place where many youth feel completely at home for the first time. At Unirondack, campers learn how to build a healthy, supportive community. They participate in discussions to decide how camp is run, and work together to create community guidelines. We are a progressive community grounded in love, growth, and celebration of difference. No one gets left behind. Everyone feels supported in the project of self-discovery. Everyone gets to experience the magic of belonging.

Our youth programs make up the heart of what we do - but Unirondack is a lifelong community. We are proud to offer a range of adult and intergenerational programs for those seeking a more enriching, community-based experience than a standard vacation.
