Overview

Camp Cross on Lake Coeur d'Alene is a place of scenic natural beauty. You'll enjoy hiking, boating, swimming, campfire songs and more. Come for our youth and family camps, or come for one of our adult retreats. Stay for the friends, relaxation, and wonderful community. As an Episcopal Church Camp, part of The Episcopal Diocese of Spokane, we emphasize the values that Christ teaches us of relationships, prayer, discipleship, and service. We hope to instill these values in campers so they will take them back to their homes and communities to become disciples for the transformation of the world.

Camp Cross is a unique place set in God’s beauty. Camp Cross is a Christian community serving the critical purpose of transforming the lives of youth, young adults and all people in the Episcopal Diocese of Spokane and beyond. Camp Cross is a treasure that needs to be nurtured and upheld by those who have benefited from the Camp Cross experience, in order to provide deep spiritual encounters for generations to come.

Youth lead the prayers during Eucharist

VISION–- To be a creative and compelling witness to Jesus Christ by unlocking the radical power of youth to embody inclusive love, transform each other & and their communities and take their experiences out into the world.

CORE VALUES:

Christ is at the center of all we do. Each of us seeks to be a compelling witness to Jesus. We are aware, sensitive and accepting of all people where ever they are in their spiritual journey.

We seek to offer a life impacting experience for every person (campers and staff) involved in our summer camp experience.

We strive for this Christian camp experience to make a difference in the world upon the campers and staff return to their congregations and communities.

We will live together at camp in a “community way” of clear expectations, agreement and mutual accountability and care for one another.

We will all agree to live by our stated covenant and all will be accountable to that agreement.

We expect to live in a camp environment that fosters unconditional welcome, acceptance and extraordinary respect.

The staff will seek to serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being.

We will proclaim by word and example the Good News of Jesus Christ through fun, joy and celebration.

We will speak the truth in love for the purpose of building up the body in Christ.
