The Bement School Summer Programs

Overview

Bement is the perfect place for children to have memorable summer adventures as they explore our 30-acre campus. We offer fun camps with our Mountain Biking Camp and Adventure Camp.

The Bement Mountain Bike Camp is offered as both a day and residential program for campers entering grades 3-9. It is a week long mountain bike program focused on the disciplines of Downhill and Enduro riding. Our host venue is Thunder Mountain Bike Park, one of the premier gravity riding destinations in the country. Built by Gravity Logic - world renown bike park builders - Thunder has trails for mountain bikers of all abilities.

Home base for camp is The Bement School. Residential campers will be hosted at our family-style dormitories located on the north end of our school campus. All campers will travel a short distance each day to the mountain. Trained staff will teach participants the fundamentals of downhill mountain biking, such as body positioning, braking, cornering and pumping. Five days of instruction and riding allows for significant growth and progression. Upper level groups will learn to hit drops, jumps and navigate technical terrain. Beginners will progress through step by step building blocks, where they gain confidence through repetition and tons of riding.

The Bement Adventure Camp is offered as both a day and residential program for campers entering grades 4-9. Hosted at Berkshire East, one of the region’s premier outdoor adventure destinations, this weeklong camp offers an exciting mix of activities that may include zip lining, rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, aerial adventure courses, renewable energy tours, and more. Bement designs and leads the program while partnering with Berkshire East’s professional guides, giving campers access to world-class facilities while being supported by trusted Bement staff. Each day is packed with challenge, exploration, skill-building, and plenty of fun in the outdoors.

Residential Adventure Campers will stay at The Bement School’s welcoming, family-style dormitories, located on the north end of our beautiful campus. Dorm life is supervised by trained Bement staff who live on campus with campers, creating a safe, supportive, and fun residential experience. Campers enjoy comfortable shared rooms, meals together in Bement’s dining facilities, and time to relax and connect in the evenings after full days of adventure. The residential option allows campers to build friendships, gain independence, and fully immerse themselves in the complete Adventure Camp experience.
